Proverbs 24:3-4

Read Proverbs 24:3-41. If you are married, what are practical steps that you can take to move toward one another in the areas of passion, intimacy, and life-giving speech?2. As a husband, if you are called to cultivate or nurture your wife with trust and gratitude, what practically can you do to grow in these areas?3. As parents, if you are called to create a refuge for your children, and this is done best by teaching them who they are (or are called to be) in Christ, what practically can you do to better make this happen?4. As a child, how can you better honor your parents? What practical steps can you take to accomplish this? As a parent, how can you nurture and train your children to honor your spouse?5. As grandparents, how are you intentionally investing in the life of your grandchildren and their parents? What steps can you take to improve in this area?

Proverbs 3-:7-9

Read Proverbs 30:7-91. Are you more of a saver or a spender? Why do you think that is? What in your heart is the motivating force to either spend or save?2. What are some key truths from Proverbs that God wants us to learn about our relationship to money? Concerning earning money? Concerning giving? Concerning spending? Concerning saving?3. What are some of the inherent dangers of money that the Bible warns Christians about?4. How can we maintain the right perspective on our money?5. How does our relationship with money relate to our identity?6. What is the right way to think about and use wealth?7. What does our relationship with money reveal about ourselves?8. What principles have guided you in your relationship to money, wealth, possessions? Do you budget?

Read Proverbs 19:23; 1 Corinthians 15; Philippians 41. Where in life do you most struggle to be content? Where is your heart most restless?2. What do you believe is the primary desire of your heart that leads you to this life of discontentment?3. What do you think of Jeremiah Burroughs definition of contentment: “Christian contentment is that sweet, inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God’s wise and fatherly disposal in every condition.”4. How does understanding what Christ accomplished in the resurrection and the power of the resurrected life make living content in this life possible?

Palm Sunday 2025 (Proverbs)

1. What is a big decision that you recently had to make? How hard was it to make thatdecision? Did you follow some plan to assist in the process? What was the process orwhat were the steps that you walked through to make this decision?2. Have you ever had trouble making a decision because you were waiting on the Lordto reveal you to you some part of His secret will? Do you think that this is normallyhow God guides his children in their decision making process? Have you ever “laidout a fleece” for God? What are your thoughts on this process?3. Have you ever considered the many different principles mentioned in the sermon:a. Make sure you are on the right path – the path of wisdom and life;b. Live a life being formed by His Word through His Spirit;c. Remember it’s gradual;d. Don’t’ swerve – know what is influencing you;e. Maturity in Christ is vital;f. Proverbs 4:20-27

Read: Proverbs 4:1-271. Spend some time discussing the challenges of parenting. If you are not a parent, share some of the challenges you faced growing up. How does Solomon's instruction in Proverbs 4 encourage and help you?2. Read Proverbs 4:10-13. What are the benefits of embracing wise parental instruction? What are some practical ways that you can share these benefits (and others like them) with your children? grandchildren? Others?3. Read Proverbs 4:14-19. What are some practical ways to warn your children, grandchildren, and others about the way of the wicked? What wicked ways of thinking and living would you specifically emphasize?4. Read Proverbs 4:20-27. Highlight and discuss the 10 commands that Solomon gives to his sons in these verses. How do you/could you incorporate similar commands in your parenting and disciple-making? Why are such commands necessary?5. As noted in the message, Solomon's instruction addresses an "Anatomy of Discipleship". How do each of the body parts mentioned in this passage pose a challenge for godly living? What do thoughts, words, and actions look like when these "body parts" are utilized obediently? How could you utilize a similar approach for teaching children, grandchildren, and others?6. Spend some time praying specifically for opportunities to share God's Word (wisdom) with others this week. Be accountable to address specific people and situations that need biblical truth.

Proverbs 4:1-19

Read: Proverbs 4:1-191. What commands does the father give to his sons in this passage? (There are many) What do these commands imply about the sons? What do these commands imply about parenting?2. Why do you think the father conveys his instruction in a personal way in verses 3-9? How would this personal approach help the children? Share some of the personal and meaningful wisdom that your parents shared with you.3. Why is the obtaining of wisdom so important to the father and the son? What would/should this wisdom include? How do you share God's wisdom in your home?4. What does wisdom accomplish according to verses 10-13? How would/do you convey the value of wisdom to your children?5. What is the path of the wicked according to verses 14-19? How would/do you warn your children of wickedness?6. Does this passage compel you to make any changes to your parenting content or style? If so, what specifically? How will you begin making those changes this week?7. Spend some concentrated time praying for parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren. Ask for God's wisdom in parenting and ask God to make children receptive to the wisdom they are given.

Proverbs 6:6-11

Read Proverbs 6:6-11; 26:13-16; 24:30-341. How would you define a sluggard?2. What are the character failures of a sluggard according to the above texts?3. How prevalent is this within our society? Why?4. When or where or how has this been a part of your life story? In the past? Currently?5. Where are you complacent? Or idle? Or lazy?6. What are you doing to fight this?7. How do you balance a biblical view of work and leisure within your own life? Where do corrections need to be made?

Matthew 18:15-35

1. What are the 5 primary things one must consider in Conflict Resolution? - Is this worth fighting over? Should I just cover it in love? - How can I set my heart on glorifying God? Is this about winning or honoring God? - How can I get the log out of my own eye? Take Responsibility for your sin - How can I gently restore this relationship? This is not about payback or revenge but restoration - How can I Go and Be Reconciled? We must demonstrate the forgiveness of God and encourage more strongly repentance while offering a biblical and reasonable solution?2. What is forgiveness? - Imitating God - Releasing someone - A costly commitment3. What is forgiveness not? - It is not excusing someone - It is not forgetting4. Is there a relationship in your life in which you need to become a Peacemaker?5. Is there someone in your life currently who you need to ask for forgiveness from or offer forgiveness to?
